Looks like it was designed by one of those caricature artists at the county fair.

One could argue that it's pretty because the original was pretty, but I do especially like the way they resolved the rear end. That said, I'm not sold on the front horizontal vent that makes it look like the hood is always popped.
The thing that always bothers me about these "old body's grafted to new chassis" swaps is how HIGH the beltline ends up relative to the original designs. The wheels could and should stay modern sizes but the body needs to be about 5" lower. Settle the greenhouse down and push the wheels up into the fenders more.
People always end up doing kinda silly looking sill extensions to try to hide the fact that the doorsill is like 15" off the ground.

That's how it was from the factory on the stepnose ones.

That is a nod to the Alfa "step nose" GTVs. A design feature that a lot of enthusiasts go gaga over but I am unsure of
Frankly, it looks like they started out with the first picture as the basis for their rendering
