Time to build the motor and boost the E36 M3 out of it

I'm not a fan of the Baja look. I'm turning it into a street/strip car
These things have been on my mind a lot lately. The want is becoming increasingly difficult to resist.
I saw a Diesel new beetle at a local shop with front end damage. If I made a Baja beetle to commute in would it still be bad?

Winner winner chicken dinner! Or steak if you prefer.

Depends on who's buying
If people scoff at your Beetle, you can tell them that it inspired the creation of the 911, so, no Beetle, no 911.
In reply to Wally:
Since the front end damage may have cacked the motor, you might as well kill two birds with one stone and build a mid-rear-engined New Beetle TDI, then Baja the crap out of it. You'll probably make the damn thing easier to work on in the end, too.
Even Volkswagen could build a mid-engined Golf, and it only took them 8 weeks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Golf_Mk5#GTI_W12-650
They're actually surprisingly common rally cars here because of how many parts are shared with a Golf. Everything still seems too expensive and painful, even for a watercooled VW, though.

Well me and a friend nicknamed it the Horse Fly. Mustangs are a common sight in my area. So we're building this bug to be a pain in their hindquarters

No Baja for him...
It's a Sooper Beetle, "super beetle" is German for "McPherson Strut"
I've seen Super Beetle Bajas before. A Baja'd Stupor Beetle is still better than a slammed and rusted torsion bar any day of the week.
I'm sure by now someone's built a decent front suspension kit or McStrut mount spacers or something too.
yes.. the 924's suspension was more or less based on that of the super beetle.. makes swaps to later Porsche parts easier and better.
And you don't want stock fenders. get some wider 'glass ones. You can stuff a lot of tyre under one of those if you get wider fenders.. and it will still look more or less stock
