I don't see these, at least not on CL everyday, but thought others might be interested.

Do a little research on them. Evidently they eat torque converters for breakfast. I still kinda want one, but I need a truck much more than an SUV>

Ewwww!

No thanks!

Edit: I see it's a diesel, but that still won't be enough to sway me.

Not at that price premium over a gas version of the same vehicle. If that Jeep had spark plugs instead of glow plugs, it would be half of that, at most.

And the mileage is no better than a four, and barely better than the V6, for more cost per gallon. That works out to be more expensive to drive...

Jeep had a recall for this, the dealer would replaced the TQ and flashed the computer.

I have driven a number of them and they do not impress me, and the fuel economy is not all that.

I saw one of these a month or two ago that had to have been chipped. It was blowing a LOT of smoke. Fairly funny, actually.

Yeah, but the re-flash detunes it. Their fix was to replace the weak converter with the exact same part and detune the truck so it won't kill it again. Pretty E36 M3ty way to "fix" the problem.

I was absolutely embarrassed at a street light by a modified diesel Liberty when I was driving a buddy's B-swapped Civic hatch. The sleeper status of a diesel Liberty is off the charts with the right parts.

Reliable 4wd, higher tow rating than the 6 and the ability to touch 30 mpg on the highway. Yes, its still a liberty, but I think its sweet.

Now.where those grand diesels are...

If the dealer is selling this at nearly $15k, that means they gave some poor schlub $5K for it as a trade in. Sorry, I would never buy a used car from a dealer. Just my opinion.

I convinced a lady friend of mine to ditch her Liberty that had one issue after another when it was paid off and go get a Mazda 3.

Shes very happy now.
