If you noticed my happy feet thread you saw I picked up a couple of vehicles from an estate. Last night the bother of the deceased told me that they were selling the house to a developer and if I saw anything worth saving to grab it. There's not much left but I saw some stuff that gabecar3 might be able to use and some electric fans I might be able to use. Do these count as free available to anyone since I met him through a CL ad?

I had a fellow give me a radiator last year. It was for sale on CL, but he saw my GRM T-shirt and said take it. I asked Tom and he said that was free, so I says your stuff is, too.

True but thus exists the fmv for inside deals clause. My shocks from someone’s scrap pile are free, my wheels from treelawn on garbage night are free, if my dad gives me an LS1 it’s not free. If my dad gives Evan a ford ranger it’s free(true story my dad gave away a running driving ranger via GRM)

And the ranger made it to his house.
We ended up with a couple of instrument panels, 3 or 4 carbs, a TBI wiring harness with computer, several electric fans, and a 389/400 Pontiac 4bbl intake in the free pile. Lil Stampie scored several car emblems with the coolest being a Coronet Fluid Drive, a steering wheel, and a piston/rod or as he put it "everything I've ever dreamed about getting!"
Lil stampie and I have a lot in common...
