This followed me home...with a little help.
That looks fun. I'd rather have the tow truck, but that's because i'm a special kind of 'bad idea'-prone (I too buy junk cars! It already has my slogan). Cool project!

Look more like it didn't really have a choice!
My neighbor just finished restoring the exact car BTW. His came to him in pieces.
I like how that picture is composed, sort of like the truck saying, "go on, off, this is your new home now!"
I'll trade you a Triumph Bonneville, MGB GT, and a Bugeye for it. We're moving soon and I'd like to have less to transport. Even my wife couldn't argue with trading 2 1/2 large things for one large thing.

My math only has it at 1.97 big things. Unless you are looking at his car as a big thing, then I will confirm your math.

Owner bought it in 2000 has says he drove it a few years and parked it when he had problems with the turn signals. He put about 500 miles on it over the 18 years he had it. I’ll be trying to wake it up over the next couple of weeks. I know the brakes need going through.

I understand. It's pretty much a full size Tonka truck, what's not to want?
Congrats on the thing though, spitfirebill.

I’ll tell SWMBO that. I did not ask permission and she hasn’t said anything. I think she is smart enough to know how pissed I got after I sold my other TR3 in 1986 when we were going to get by on one income. The day I put that car on the trailer to go to it’s new home, she said she would go back to work if she could get new bedroom furniture. I thought the most that would cost me was $2000, because we had already shopped it. She was able to find a suite for $4800 (1986 dollars). I must say it’s the best thing we own.
