Any guesses?
Indeed. Pulled the dizzy cap and cranked it over to see if the cam would turn... Needless to say, it did not.
Something in the hydraulics? Guess its a smart idea to own a tow truck, or is it included in the purchase of an old Porsche?
Not entirely surprised. It was my own fault for not changing the T-belt yet. I was planning to do it this winter. They are recommended to change at 45,000, and I had about 39,000 on this one.
Oh well. Anyone know where I can get a 3 liter bottom end? I think I need big displacement turbo power.
That sucks. Another reason I'm glad I drive non-interference equipped cars.
I agree that LSJuan is in order, the 2.5 is such a boring motor, put something exciting in there :)
Glad I'm not alone.
My 850 Turbo volvo started blowing smoke BAD yesterday.
30PSI compression in #4 cylinder.
Looks like I'm car shopping.
If there is anything lucky about the situation, it's that we are a 2 driver 3 car household. Until earlier today, all three were running perfectly.

No, they are MSW Mesh wheels that I picked up for a song. I cannot stand the center caps, however, so I leave them off. (not my picture, btw.)
Should have sold it before it broke, like I did!
Seriously though, that sucks Brad. I like the idea of a 3.0L, but not boost. Can you slam an S2 motor in there? How about a 928 V8?
At first, second, or even third glance that sucks. However, at least you have an extra car and an excuse to build a better 944.
Too bad you're so far away now, 'cause I owe ya some garage time.

Sounds like a trip to Ohio is in order! Tell the boss you're taking the week off!
I hear you.
I got punted at 80mph coming out of Thunder Valley on Friday... no real damage, just a little tirewall kiss... but I finished dead last due to getting stuck trying to come back from the wet grass. It took what seemed like an eternity to rejoin.
I dropped a cylinder 13 minutes into a 90 minute race on Sunday. I then proceeded to beat the berkeley out of it for the remaining laps so I could say I finished the damn thing. 8 laps down. In 5th from last. And probably destroyed the motor. I hate cars.
