he has a Saturn fetish for some strange reason... he has like 4 of them out at his dad's house outside of town... he gave me an inside door handle for mine today because the driver's side door one was missing... he gave me a factory spoiler for the trunk because why the hell not? he asked me if i wanted to buy some weird struts with springs that have an adjustment nut on them like the shocks on a snowmobile that were on a car he parted out a couple of years ago... i ask how much... he says $20 for everything... so he wants to sell me a complete coilover setup for my car for $20... why have i never come across deals like this for cars that i actually care enough about to want to modify???
S series Saturn was last made in 2002 making even the newest ones 14 years old. Sounds about right on the prices for a vehicle the world has pretty much forgotten about.
They can be quite the bargain.

i have told myself that i can justify coilovers because this would allow me to drop the car, which helps with aero, which helps with miles per gallon. i have this stupid idea that i want to try to chase 50mpg with this thing...

Loved my '96 SC1. Sure it was a thundering 88hp, but I flogged it every day and never got less than 32mpg. Every shift was at redline. It was a great commuter and I should have autocrossed it before it was totaled.
