38 cylinders, 5 turbochargers, a supercharger, and 1,900 HP combined so far this year. I need a beater to get me over the hump to 2K!
- 2011 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T/MT6
- 2013 Ford Flex Limited EcoBoost AWD 3.5TT/AT6
- 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 5.7/MT6
- 1996 Land Rover Range Rover 3.9/AT?
- 2012 Ford Flex Titanium EcoBoost AWD 3.5TT/AT6
- 2011 Audi S4 Quattro 3.0SC/MT6
In all fairness I did sell my 87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe and 08 Mazda5 this year. Anyone want a modded A4?
Congrats !
your Vette and RR are my faves.
I sold 7 this year (thanks Bat and all the hipsters with heloc $).
Bought 2.
Negotiating on #3 as we speak. A GRM forum member went and test drove it for me tonight few states away
Also, besides the Rover which is really just a marginally self-moveable shed, the Porsche is my slowest and least powerful car by over 100HP.
There's only one car in that lineup that I trust.

The Vette I assume?
Gotta be the 298k mile Rover (shed) that I traded a bottle of scotch for.
Or maybe the 2000 Porsche Boxster S that is old man river. I've owned it for 22 months, it's the oldest car, it's the least powerful, and it has the highest miles (140k).

I was hoping the AMX/3 was the last one.

I tried. I don't have $400,000 even if I sold everything I own including my house, but I called my dad and my grandpa and tried to get them to get it.
I'll settle for one of the fiberglass replica bodies and a GTM chassis. Wait a minute... Didn't the GTM use a Porsche transaxle and Corvette suspension?
I think if I added up all the cars I've ever owned it wouldn't be much more than 1900hp.
Edit: 2676. But the average is a low 140hp. Yikes.

Did the cars need to have actually ran anytime during your ownership to count their HP in the total? Asking for a friend...

All cars that were either street or competition driven. No parts cars, failed projects, etc.

My total is 1075, but my average is 153. The 190hp 4.0L in my ZJ and the 245hp Rotrex-blown 1.8L in my Miata drag it up a bit, considering there is a 105hp Yaris, a 115hp Cavalier and an 85hp Subaru Loyale in the mix.
Once we sell the A4 the current fleet would be (stock):
- 96 Range Rover - 190-225 HP
- 00 Boxster S - 250 HP
- 11 Audi S4 - 333 HP
- 12 Flex EcoBoost - 355 HP
- 02 Z06 - 405 HP
And every one of them (except the shed) is modified, so...

I've had somewhere around 200 cars at this point, so...

Didn't you post a thread a few months back where you had the Boxster on bald tires and an Flex and Audi that didn't run well and you didn't want to fix any of them, or something along those lines? I'm having trouble keeping up with what's going on, haha.
I only picked up one car this year. However I hope to change that as I have a lead on a GL 63.

Yup, all true! I put tires on the Boxster (Falken RT660's), fixed the Audi (going to sell it anyway), and the Flex got totaled in a flood (water in the electrics made it go haywire, it was street parked).
Now I have less electronic (and 35k less mile) Flex that runs great, a low miles perfect running Z06, and a Boxster on good tires. I also have a spare car in the range rover and am replacing the problematic Audi A4 with a much stouter (and 35k less mile) S4. The fleet is doing much better now.
I do like how you made a video of you standing in front of your garage with the Z06 and boxster talking about making your family hauler run 12s. The new Audi makes it even better I think.

Awesome! I'm glad I'm not the only person happy about that

Only 57 cars for me and 11 bikes
I only picked up one car this year as well (and only have one, lol)
But now I have real thinking to do over the winter.
1. Invest in the safety equipment so I can actually do HPDE in it, which is original reason I bought it from Jeremy. This is probably in the $3k range for the Blackbird roll bar, fixed back, harnesses.
2. Leave it as-is, except in the spring put some 200TW on it and see if I like autocross. If I don't, #3 will likely be the course of action.
3. Sell it once the weather is nice next year.

What you buying next ?

I have a large stack of Mazda parts from my 5 that need to be put to good use, so maybe a cheap 3 to flip?
