I spent the day at the R&M Auction in Auburn ,Indiana. There were soooo many cars and things to look at. I need to hit the lottery and go back next year with the intent of filling one of those Reliable specialty car haulers.

Been watching Mecum reruns on Velocity. Some of the weekday vehicles are pretty darn reasonable, as in you can't build it to that level for that coin. I wouldn't mind dropping $10-15K for a nicely done weekend driver.
Projects stall all too often w/ my work schedule, might as well buy one done for a change, just drive and enjoy it. Closest Mecum auction is about 3.5 hrs., gonna check 'em out someday.
and hit that lottery too.
We watched the auction for a couple of hours and I came to the conclusion that there were lots of cars that could be bought for less than the build cost, including several that went out the door for prices in the 30s and 40s. I'm sure there could be some serious haggling with owners who didn't make reserve and placed cars in the "Still for sale" lot.
This thread resurrection is a good opportunity to let everyone know that I have not yet won the lottery.

Me either, but I have driven well over 2000 cars at Mecum Indy over the last several years.....
Some of the weekday stuff is a bargain, some of it is complete E36 M3(usually the mopars & f-bodies on those days)
