Bored and looking to spend $ on Amazon I typed WRC to see if they had anything interesting. A hydraulic handbrake popped up, pretty cheap but unsure of the quality. I did another search for hydraulic handbrake, most seemed fairly cheap. Any recommendations for a 2002 WRX?
Not doing it?
When we were at NTR, someone tried to grab handbrake in a WRX and the act grenaded the center diff. I guess they really don't like that.
I only really use mine to hold the car still before the start. It doesn't have a risk of not disengaging fully like the cable lever.
Wouldn’t braking the rear tires only on an AWD car be a bad thing?

I did a little reading on DIRally after posting this. Most agreed a hydraulic handbrake, vs the cable e-brake, and only for a second to break traction on a loose surface, wouldn't damage anything. But more than a few said simply removing the ABS fuse would be enough. I only ran 2 events in this WRX last year (3rd would have been the rained-out one in the beginning), and hadn't remembered to figure out where the fuse was.
