Need a sanity check here. I purchased an Eagle MTP-12C 12k rated, two post lift for the new garage a while back. chinglish instructions aside, i have it mostly together, and when i went to lower the lift from where its at (third or fourth locking position) to the floor, so i could lift it to the correct lock set and set the cable tension, the left side post wont lower at all. it dropped about an inch or so, and then refuses to lower any further. the right side post goes all the way to the floor with no issues. i havent applied any power to the lift, nor have any hydraulic fluid in any lines/cylinders, the lift is a direct drive with single acting lift cylinders, so they should raise/lower fine without fluid. ive checked and made sure the post is plumb, and the carriage itself isnt getting hung up on anything or binding.i made sure the safety locks were fully disengaged, and pinned them so they cant lock at all. ive removed the bleed screw at the top as well as cracked the banjo fitting at the bottom, neither of which allowed the cylinder to lower, and the lines running from one side to the other are not connected yet. i have also loosened/removed the synchronizing cables, just to be sure they weren't creating an issue . im not sure where to go from here, im planning on calling eagle on monday to see if they have any ideas, but given how terrible the instructions are, or lack thereof, im not expecting much help. am i right in thinking the hydraulic cylinder is getting hung up on something internal, or possibly bent? i think ive just about ruled out everything else. and its only the left side post, the right side post can be lifted and lowered all the way by itself just fine.
