In reply to Fueled by Caffeine :
I’ve been told by independent sources that this should be easier because we both have the same insurance.
The “other sides’” adjuster told me on the phone that his “side” admits full fault.

I don't doubt that given Massachusetts being a true No Fault state and the relatively low property damages and medical injuries. Really becomes a moot point. Might be a different story if there were serious injuries as defined by statute (broken bones, disfigurement, etc). It's going to work out fine. No big windfall but you likely will be made whole.

So I called my insurance agent and she looked up my policy on the Yukon. She said my policy covers collision on the rental “you’re all set”.

I agree (what is this world coming to...plaintiff attorney and insurance on the same page...LOL), especially if you have COLL coverage on your truck. In that case, they're paying the claim either way. The only difference is who's policy it's being paid out of. They can and will sort that out internally...and that can matter because the policyholder may get mad.
Ok...enough about insurance law and public policy. Let's guess final settlement.
I say $3250 + salvage
It’s got New England rust. I’m 50/50 on totaling vs fixing because even though the Honda was demolished, he somehow missed the rear hatch entirely. So, if it’s totaled, I’m saying $3000 even.
Anyone else?

Looks like I will be delivering a 6 pack.
I am glad you sorted that. With my accident it soured the whole process.
I was going to go closer to 5K but these are the numbers NADA ame up with
From NADA
Rough Trad in $3,775
Average Trade in $5,200
Clean Trade in $6,400
Clean Retail $9,100
So Hummmmmm there is a big gap between trad in and retail. Maybe they go 7500?? I really have no clue on this one.

If I had to pay you for your advice here and in my house/car collision thread I’d owe you more than a six-pack!

Ya but then I get to help you drink it.
It’s officially totaled!!!
Now I’ve been told that after we agree on a payout I’ll be scrambling to find a replacement. That my rental will only cover perhaps three days. So I’ll either have to pay $30/day for a rental until I either find a truck or go grab a truck that I’m rushed into.
Is this really I thing: You’re stopped in traffic, a guy smashes into and totals your car and you now have approximately 3 days to replace it or start paying over $200 per week until you find a suitable USED vehicle to replace it?
