A buddy of mine found this in some of his dad's stuff. He used to restore cars. We're thinking it may be early Chevrolet.

Probably aftermarket.  Back in the day, it was relatively common for aftermarket companies to sell hubcaps that looked like OEM but were lower cost.  They had a slightly different emblem, to avoid any copyright issues.  In this case the symbol looks close enough to a Chevrolet bowtie from a distance.

Logo mimicks FIAT corporate logo of the 1970s, but definitely not for a FIAT.
