My wife ran across a deal on a 2006 M-B CLK500 4-seat convertible. Looks and drives nice, 24K miles, etc. Never owned a M-B, and am concerned about upkeep on these things. I figure we could drive it a couple of years for fun, then sell, but don't want to be laying under it twisting wrenches (or worse yet, paying Merc service to do it!) that whole time. Any experience or advice? Thanks!

I avoid Mercedes built after 1993 or so. To be honest, my experience with 2006 or newer is a bit limited but the newer ones are built to a price and it shows. The problem is, the replacement parts and labor are NOT built to a price so you will cry when you have to service it.
I'm not sure about that model, but newer ones do not even allow you to check your own oil. Dealership time.
