My walls weren't even painted until 2000 but I did have a phone jack out there. At one time, I think the house had 4 lines going into it. Now zero. Actual copper phone lines are all dead in my neighborhood.
My grandparents moved their house about 14 miles, while my dad was in grade school one day. Surprise! I've heard it was done with horses, but not sure about that. About 1950.
My wife's grandparents also moved theirs around the same time, but only 3 miles, with a small bulldozer. There are pictures of that.
Just hire these guys!
The side of our house with the garage sidles up to unused green belt. I'd love to annex about 10 ft and make my 20x20 30x20. I haven't asked the city yet, but the area is chronically not mowed by them and it's irritating. If I owned it, about 1/3 of what is there currently would be my shop.
