Well, if they did to it what they did after the last 15 years of the "good" Civics, i'm glad they didn't try to keep it going, personally.

Good call.

Somehow I don't think it's handling will impress compared to an Elise and overall as compared to a 996 Turbo. Both of which I have driven.

Argo1 wrote: OK. I'll be the desenting opinion. I've never really been a NSX fan. When they were new the NSX was called the NoSeX because it was sooo boring. Nose styling more like a Mazda, over worked and styled rear and wing that shouted Buick. Interior was all Accord. V6 was very underwhelming for a "supercar". Insurance was sky high because of the aluminum body and structure. It was daily usable because it just a mid engined Accord. There were so many better choices available at the time... and still are.

I'm not going to debate the subjective stuff you said. A large number of people, including myself, disagree with your opinions though. The NSX is very much not an Accord though.

A Corvette is just a low-slung Silverado. MEH.

I laughed.

Also, an Elise is clearly a Corolla with a plastic body.

Bwaha! Love it.

A 996 Turbo is just a souped up Beetle. What idiot would pay that much money for a WWII era compromise. MEH!!!

(this is fun.)

Nonsense! A 996 is a clearly a poor copy of a Tatra with 2 doors and 2 cylinders removed!

(it is fun)

Those who don't like the NSX need only hear one at WOT passing 8K rpm in person. A Ferrari wails, a Corvette bellows, but an NSX...it composes entire symphonies between gear changes.

And there's the allure of a car that will stand up to 300,000 miles of use and also turn 8,000 RPM.

I really like Hondas but I have never wanted a NSX. For the same price there are so many other cars I would rather have.

I'll slide the NSX next to the FT86 on my list of realistic dream cars. They fulfill a similar role of prioritizing balance and poise over power.

Me too. Its one of those cars that I know I should really like and want but don't.

For the record I also like the early ones much better.
