Netflix has the movie ROAD on. It's about the Dunlop's from Northern Ireland that are involved in motorcycle road racing (Think Isle of Man TT not circuit racing).
As a motorcycle rider in my youth I knew of Joey Dunlop but what a story. Trust me - worth the 1 hour and 42 minutes.
Thanks will probably watch this weekend
Well I know what I'll be viewing tomorrow, thanks for the heads up!
Nice!
Those guys are certifiably insane.
I watched that earlier this year, those guys are crazy.
Oh nice! I love the Isle of Man TT stuff, definitely going to check this out tonight.
I loved Senna! I still need to seee TT3D: Closer to the Edge and now this one.

Just so you all know - without a spoiler - it has its share of tragedy and triumph.
Thanks for the tip. I watched it today - I thought it was really well done.
It is a GREAT movie. Well worth watching.

Yup!
I admire their passion but wow.
Thanks for the suggestion. I just finished watching it. What an incredible story and tragedy.

The Dunlops were not spared tragedy for sure. I think I know the story but I'm all in anyway.
FWIW, I don't think they are crazy at all. Some men live to lead, some to prosper and some just to make others yearn for glory. It beats dying of the complications from something slow for sure.
I used to have a sig on some forum that read "I used to worry about dying in a race car or motorcycle wreck, now I worry I won't". That E36 M3 gets truer with every friend and acquaintance I lose to some godforsaken illness. I've been to a lot of funerals that were not a surprise for men and women younger than me. berkeley that.
Live hard. Die quick.
Watching now, some of the on boards physically hurt from how jarring they are. Makes me miss doing hillclimbs.

Trying to watch this now. I can't understand a thing this guy is saying. His accent is so think that is sounds like he has a spoonful of Mini Wheats stuck in his throat.
