I'm sorry, you no longer meet the minimum requirements for board participation.

same reason they say "easy as pie"
i am going to start using slept like a baby literally though

OK serious question......how large of a shop do you manage? How many techs do you oversee? What shop management software do you currently use?

If it doesn’t whine, then 9/10 times it does when I put it in gear. So an 80% chance that I get a whine when I start the car and put the clutch in, and a 98% chance that it will whine by the time I have it in reverse or first. Once I start driving moving—once it starts to catch, it goes away. It still happens regularly even when warm, but much, much less than when cold. Sometimes I can sit at a light with the car in gear, clutch to the floor, and I’ll have no sound for 5-30 seconds, then it starts to whine again. Put it in neutral and let the clutch out and sound goes away. Often at a stop light, I can put the clutch in almost all the way to the floor and put it in gear, no whine. But if I put it all the way to the floor, chances of the squeal/whine are much greater. Second issue, the stereo cuts out all sound somewhat regularly. 5 seconds of music, 2 seconds of silence, 8 seconds of music, 3 seconds of silence… Sometimes I can go an hour without it cutting out at all. Also, under acceleration on the highway, the alternator light will come on, maybe 1 to 3 times in a 45 mile trip. My thoughts are that there is a loose ground somewhere that will hopefully fix both, but the stereo issue may be unrelated. Any thoughts?
Alternator regulation is not working properly. If NA, replace alternator, if NB, then you've got a wiring issue. In the NB, alternator output is controlled by ECU. If overvolting, the stereo will cut out, and light will come on in the cluster. Not necessarily both, depending on severity of overvolt.
My 4x4 F150 sometimes pulls to the right. More when breaking than any other time. Sometimes everything will snap straight again, but it eventually starts pulling again. All brakes are brand new from caliper to (and including) the hoses. All suspension feels sturdy. I have new u-joints ready to install. Any other suggestions as to the cause?

we have 6 bays, 3 full time technicians and one part time as well as a high school kid who comes in sometimes, we use TRACs through NAPA, it kind of sucks honestly but it's all we have

also could be in the manual hubs

Wiring issue within the alternator? Or somewhere else? NB, 99.

Rear brakes are good, me thinks. L-F hub is relatively new, but a bad R-F cold make sense as well...

I've had problems with Greece attacking my Turkey when I was Hungary. You really need to Czech on it often, even if you're Russian to get other things done.

I hate it when that happens. It also happened to me the other day at the construction site, sitting in Ukrain and I was trying to Polish off a Danish.
why don't service managers listen to me when I tell them what is wrong? (dealerships and warranty work mostly, otherwise id be doing it myself).
Here is the car. wont get up to temp. I believe it is a stuck thermostat.
3 days later: hello sir. I believe we have finally identified the issue in your car. it needs a new thermostat.
I get they have to do a full evaluation themselves, but could they just say, "you were right - it was the thermostat"?
Because other people aren't as intelligent and will come in with all sorts of made up crap you wouldn't believe.
like "How can it be the wire harness!?! All I did was install fog-lights"
"Yes, sir, I understand that. But when the electrical tape slid off the wires you cut while trying to get your fog-light wire through the firewall it caused some burn damage to some of the other wires in the bundle."
"You guys are just trying to scam me. I'm calling the 'Better Business Bureau' and taking my car somewhere where they know WTF they're doing"
True story! Melodie's Bellevue Nissan circa February, 2000
Or:
"Subaru and Nissan ARE THE SAME CAR!"
