Eh, 300 miles for a CPO car wouldn't be bad. I've generally been to chicken E36 M3 to make a major long distance purchase myself but I did take a turn at the wheel helping my buddy drive a 63 Single Cab VW back from Alabama to Indiana. Shame that a lot of the drive was in the dark and we didn't see much. The highlight of the trip was a strip joint we saw named "The Boobie Bungalo" that we wanted to stop at on the return leg and buy a t-shirt from but they were closed on Sunday afternoon. At least the truck was as described and he was happy with it.

Not much compares to the bus thread. I did 2200 miles in a cheap sight unseen Porsche.

I bought a unicorn "Olive Green Metallic" 1995 Volvo T5R wagon on Ebay in Stamford Connecticut when I lived in San francisco Ca. I paid asking recived the car, a one way ticked to NY NY, and a full tank of gas. Two friends went with and we spent a fun filled week driving back. Going in I was as nervous as a kitten about (as it turns out)exactly nothing. Ebay had major mechanical failure insurance built into the purchase. 24 mpg. Great memories. Car is worth 2x what I bought it for 10 years on. Methinks "the further away the better".
Im thinking about driving to Las Vegas from PDX to pick up a 1998 honda D16 1.6L CNG junkyard motor. I buy groceries in Seattle.
Pri go 90 per all day long and the sound environment is stellar.
Hey, dammit, leave our private northwest stash of highly sought after cars alone! Oh wait, it's just a Prius...
In reply to Shaun:
I do. Javelin lives in Kelso.

You're also a vegan
Therefore you've reached "Granola" level in the PNW hierarchy.
The next levels get more difficult, hemp clothing, beards, man buns and patchiouli among other things.
What about crossfit?
Has he been crossfitting?

Well, that was really easy and I don't know what I was worried about. The car is flawless, there were no surprises, and the whole "deal" took about 10 minutes. We immediately put 250 miles on the Prius. I have to admit, it's fun to drive. Very futuristic and the Power Mode has serious torque. SWMBO's first words were "it needs better wheels".

Yes those wheel cover things they put on it are ugly. Needs some bling!
Take the wheel covers off. Underneath are some pretty cool looking lightweight rims.
Pfft, my tire shop has a set of 18" 5-spokes that would look killer.
I always thought Moonies would be perfect for a Prius. High speed aero and what not.
Glad everything went well.

Theres someone around here who does have that. It looks pretty slick.
I bought a wrecked car from Copart sight unseen last year, so a Certified Pre-Owned would be a breeze.
In reply to Mr_Clutch42:
A wrecked car from Copart qualifies as Certified Pre-"Owned".
Since you own a Javelin, doesn't matter what else you drive, it's just runner up
