Hopefully, that is. Anyone else excited for a small diesel pickup?

After my sisters Isuzu warranty proved to be worth no more than the paper it was printed on I wouldn't buy a new Isuzu anything..... Ever.

He's got a moped now. I hear they make great drug mules. Especially in camo.

I don't think the US will see a small diesel truck for years. By then, I'll be independently wealthy.
Swank, I don't think it would work--not even Badger would respect him on that thing. And Tommy, by then I'm hoping you'll be spending all your extra money keeping me in soup and crackers!
Margie
Tommy, remind me to tell you about some get rich quick plans i have this year at the challenge instead of spending hours filling your head with filthy jokes like we did this year.

Oh that's right, we were just telling knock knock jokes. My bad.

Precisely. Mahindra's been talking for a long time about bringing a compact diesel pickup to the U.S., too. I still ain't seen none.

mahindra basically gave up, and last i heard they were being sued by the company that was to be the distributor in the states.
In reply to Tom Suddard:
Oil seal went out on her during a 2 hour trip to the beach engine tossed almost all the oil but she didnt know. the oil level sensor was found by the dealer service folks to be faulty so she got no warning untol the engine started running warm an making death noises. Isuzu corporate refused to repair it even though their seal and sensor were defective since they said 1% of the blame was hers for not checking the oil level often enough. Really? Anyone here check their oil every 30 minutes?

I had not followed Mahindra lately.
Some googling brought up this:

Interesting is the comment of mpg ratings of only 19/21 and crash rating as low as 2 stars.
The intended dealership lineup as of 2010:

And 19/21 in a diesel, when the new RAM v6 gets 18/25. I liked Mahindra until they weren't a 30mpg truck any more.
Ya never know...

Isuzu basically uses the Colorado platform with their own drivetrain and sheet metal, so it wouldn't be a big stretch to bring it here. Most likely what will happen is that GM will use the diesel in their trucks here, same as the Duramax is basically an Isuzu design.
The D Max is a lot better lookin' than the Colorado/Canyon though...

That's debatable:
On second thought, you might be right!
