Sigh. I have to take a customer car home this weekend.
Oh. Darn. Your life, it must be just horrible. I like that you managed to use the factory inlet tract to the TB.
This car runs a 225/45-15 R1R. I have 10 of them in my garage
The intake is a new addition - this is the first customer car with it. Nice cold intake air and you can buy a new filter at any Chevy dealership. How cold is that air? Well, you don't need to lift the hood to get the filter out, it's tucked just out of sight in the mouth of the car. Plus the intake looks awesome, I'm really happy with how that turned out.
It's not all sunshine and daffodils, though. The AC isn't charged yet. And it's supposed to be in the mid-80's this weekend.
OK, I'll bite - suppose I handed you guys the keys and wanted that - how much are we talking? I am fairly certain I could jam a V8 in there and make it run, but making it look like that is another thing altogether.
Looks. Awesome!
I desperately want an NC with an LS1/3/etc jammed with A/C, P/S, etc for DD/weekend trips to Arkansas.
Tuna - play with this: http://flyinmiata.com/V8/configurator.php
No, not cheap. But cheaper than a 2012 Corvette convertible - and it weighs about 600 lbs less and has an extra 50 hp
z31maniac, we're working on your car. Although we might put on a supercharger too. Is that okay?

WAHHHHH!
Love the simplicity of the intake, but if I had the cubic dollars to do this, think I'd choose stealthy stock hood latch (and non-cold intake) over hood pins...
ARG!!!!
Another Mazdaspeed with a V8 dammit.
Keith, i still need a passenger headlight, any chance in hell you've got one?

It's a good thing FM doesn't offer its own financing. I'd be in a heap of trouble with the wife.
I thought I was well within budget until I got to the LS3 turnkey part. That sort of broke me. I still want one in a bad way.

+1.

The trade off is a bunch of horsepower. Intake temps are high underhood. We used Aerocatches, which are as stealthy as they get. You can even paint them. The cold intake is an option (not yet on the configurator, but not very expensive), the standard intake retains the hood latch.
Brandon ended up taking it today. I might grab the keys tomorrow...

Thought the same thing until I drove one. You'd be surprised how well it does on 225's
That really looks great.
I built this car from scratch. Custom frame, (90 inch wheelbase) C5 suspension, LS6, T 56 trans, Vette diff bolted to frame with custom adapter. The diff was converted to take a driveshaft. 18 inch Vette wheels, 275's front, 295's rear. Lightweight Cobra replica body. Great handling, great driving, and fast. (engine cover is now painted the body color and new cold air intake is in the works.)
I recently purchased a couple of 90 Miata's. I am having fun driving the one that I have registered. The handling and steering are great. But, I am some surprised by how flexible he uni-body is. ( I know that it is old)
Anyway, I am having fun driving my cars on the New England back roads.
