Very nice!!!!! A great way to spend a morning!!!!! The FF tour was really incredible. A first class operation!!! The photo of the 818 does not do it Justis. From Tim's smile after a couple runs up the down the road I would say that it is going to be one hell of a car. I was impressed with the suspension of the 818. It looks very simple yet very adjustable while still retaining a lot of the subi parts.

Tim / Tom I have high res photos and HD video that I can put on a FTP site if you are interested in picking through them. I have not looked at them but I think I got some good father / son photos of you two in the 818.

I also got to sit in a GTM that they had on the floor and although I really liked the car I can see where making a car to what you want is important. The one on the floor was just not ergonomically correct for me. But what a car the GTM is!!!!!

I wish we had introduced ourselves to each other. Because I only know who a few of you were. After the fact I see that tb was the one with the DSM, and I chatted with him last year about entering the challenge, but had never met him before. We need some name tags next time with our usernames printed on them.

I agree. I rolled in late and introduced myself to a bunch of guys and we all exchanged first names. When I get back here, that doesn't help much.

Thanks to all who showed up. We had a short test area and it was wet, but the 818, is brutally fast and we are very much looking forward to putting the first production car together.

We also picked up our donor car (the white one on our message board) and quickly fixed a few things and cleaned it up some. We are going to get a better look at it Monday at AJW Racing. If it checks out as well as we think it will, it might be too nice to tear apart and use for parts. Either way, we will write some magazine stories and web updates before it comes apart. I Forgot how fast, practical and nice driving these early WRXs are.

I had a lot of fun today doing the tour with you guys! The tour was really cool, and now I want some sort of Factory Five car as a future project. The 818 is pretty cool, and I kinda almost fit in it too! The fact that the car uses so much of the stock WRX components is really cool and a great way to approach the whole concept. SWMBO now wants a Factory Five Hot Rod, and who am I to argue with that; they are also really cool.

It was also really cool to put faces to some of the screen names I see regularly on here.

And I'm still jealous of that WRX you guys picked up. I miss my 2002 so bad.... Wanna trade for a 1987 Shelby Dodge CSX?

Shot over on Friday morning, got there just a bit late but they said to come on in. Informative and fun for sure. A VERY class act, they deserve that great reputation that they've built for themselves.
