Just wanted to thank whoever was in charge of the weather for the race weekend. After 3 days of paradise(at least to us folk who still have a winter going on) we woke up to the real world and rain in Savanah this morning. At least the glow of the sunburn will keep us warm today.

The results show GRM alumni Randy Pobst (in the #86 Porsche) and the Nonnamakers (in the #43 RX-8) dropping out early, at around 122 laps. Did anybody see what happened to them?

Pobst's Porsche had an early failure and ended up in the tire wall (maybe 3 laps in), and after that, they were just fighting the ineveitable, and eventually retired.

The Nonnamakers had some kind of driveline failure. The car looked nearly perfect, considering the kind of damage the DP's were dealing in the early going. I didn't go talk to them, but their car was in the garage shortly after nightfall.

Nonnamakers did a start and park on the second car. The primary car was in the garage around 2:00 am for a driveshaft replacement, but they only lost a few laps and finished the race.
