ugh that looks like fun! wish i had something to take there
Im not familiar with this, but ive been to the badlands for their trec races and can say that they put on a good event. Trec is a race for buggies, 4*4s, side by sides, that sort of thing. Its an endurance race through rocks and dirt and dunes. It was pretty awesome especially earlier on, then became a bit of an arms race.
They have ample camping if you prefer that route.

It's actually not in the park it's south of it. I don't know if Badlands owns the land or they're just using the name because it's right near by.

I wish I could make it Saturday but I'm playing 3-sets with 3-different bands next Friday, so this week/weekend/next week is going to be practice, practice, practice...

It's cool, I thought I forgot, but looking at their Facebook page, they actually sprung this one up out of the blue, so it's short notice for everyone.
Daughter graduates so I am out... Please post pics if you go and give heads for next event. thanks

Let's definitely try for the next one. Do they have it scheduled yet?
Not that I can tell and their website sucks. I posted up on their FB page asking if they had a event schedule.
What you can not tell is going through the woods on the south end of pic is down a hill. It is a nice drop off. A lot of fun.
I went to the badlands website (not facebook page, I dont facebook) and there is nothing on there about this. Is there any links where i can get some info?
This is going to start a e36 m3storm, but the best place for info is their Facebook Page.
they had a much better website last year, but it looks like the hosting lapsed for a few months and now they are rebuilding (slowly) from the ground up.
I don't think they have a schedule yet. They are working on one, but I don't think they have anything yet.
Ok, so they got back to me and their next event is June 27th.
However they don't know what course they are using. They made a post later saying that they are going to use the motocross track at Badlands. That doesn't seem like rallycross to me.

Smooth like butter. what could go wrong?
The organizers were smart people and some were running some expensive equipment. I guess it will get worked out so that it is fine.

I never knew that a 2G beater neon with all the glass broken out was a "rally car".

Guarantee there's a monster sticker somewhere on that car, so, indeed it is a rally car.
I actually searched for a meme of tommy boy saying "surprised you didn't know that" to insert here, and found nothing. Internet fail
Well I asked about the motocross track and they said last year there had to be some heavy machinery brought in to make the track car friendly. I was hoping to see the 2 mile course, but they said they aren't sure what course they're using yet.
