So my quest to replace the X Type continues. I am registering the Corolla this morning to have something to drive so I can take my time finding a replacement car. I was at one of the local pick and pull yards and they have a Infinity M35X for sale on the used car lot. I really liked the looks and feel of the car and I had no idea that the even made a AWD version of these. I was most impressed with the interior. It is nothing like a Nissan. The fit and finish and the feeing of quality is really good. My biggest problem with Nissan cars has always been the cheap feel to them. I have never considered a Infinity as I did not know they made an AWD.
So has anyone spent time with one of these?
Same 3.5L V6 that Nissan uses in pretty much everything.
When bought used, Infiniti can be a great value given their rather steep depreciation.
Here is an Infiniti M dedicated forum:

It's a G35 wearing a tuxedo. Which ain't a bad thing. Haven't driven the M35X, but we owned a G35X and loved the car. Very sporty, as you said very nice inside. Only thing we didn't like is the VQ engine is thirsty, but that's the price you pay for the fun this car delivers.
I have experience with one. Old neighbors got one used for the lady of the house to use and being the closest "car guy" I showed the guy hoe to do brakes and such. In the couple of years they lived there they had to have the front bumper repainted twice because the paint kept flaking off and the door cards were coming apart.
Aside from that it seemd like a decent car though the fuel mileage is on par with my wife's R class Merc.
This is good to know!!! Thanks!!!
Funny thing I was at my insurance company changing things to go direct instead of using the agent I had that was less then helpful when I got hit in my Jag and my new claims rep has one (a 2007). He has had it for a year and had zero problems with it and really likes it.
I know several years ago consumer reports scored them very highly. This may or not mean much to you.
