I'm thinking about replacing the G35 instead of rebuilding it.

What do we know about the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport?

400 hp, RWD, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

The only bad is no manual, but I don't think a manumatic would bother me too much and it would be easier for my wife to drive.

Thoughts?

It seems to be more on the luxury side than the sport side. Reviews say the transmission is glacially slow to shift. These also have the steer-by-wire that is universally panned for having absolutely no feel or feedback. Car & Driver declared it to be "the automotive equivalent to a dial tone".

They are cool in concept but complex in all the wrong ways. Steer by wire is something that really makes me nervous and even trailblazers like Tesla don't use it (yet).

I think the Lexus IS500 is the better car in that bracket.

Or the RC F. Brand new, the Lexus RC F was only like $1300 more expensive and came with an additional 71hp.

Absolutely. I totally forgot that the Q60 was Infiniti's coupe until I looked it up. That nomenclature is really deserving of the hatred.

But generally yes, I would take a Toyota product over a Nissan product these days anyway, but the IS/RC strikes me as a much more well-conceived product than the Q from a technical perspective. I think the only big gripe against the Lexii is that they are pretty heavy and the infotainment is weird.

Lexus has gone out of their way to make their cars hideous and they have succeeded. Hard pass.

2020 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport Review: Stylish But Subpar

I had read that the 7 speed was sluggish in automatic mode but not too shabby in manumatic mode. I think the drive-by-wire is an option and not for every car. I'll have to do some digging on that.

The Q60 looks great, I hope you at least drive one and report back ..

I actually don't think the RC looks all that bad. Maybe it's because the g80 3 series redefined ugliness for me.
