Here's a different conundrum about access.
What if you are taking classes that gives you access to these unique tools?
Back in 2002, I DIY'd our car's alignment while I was taking a restoration class- as we had an alignment rack. Theoretically, schools can have chassis dynos, too.
I didn't count the cost, as I was learning how to use the tools.

But there's the slippery slope ... did the instructor teach you how to do the alignment on your car? How much did you pay for the instruction?
