The water pump on bro's 2017 Fiesta 1.6L started leaking. At 20,000mi, because Ford. To get to it, they had to pop the timing cover, and remove the belt to access it (brother's description.)

They locked the front cam down. They didn't lock the rear. They aren't sure if they bumped the cam. They did not mark the position of anything. Is the any way to confirm proposition with basic tools?

This is an interference engine, so they aren't about to just send it. If there is a pistol some where out in the ether or on the YouTubes video dealing with this, visual are always appreciated.

You do not need to remove the timing belt.  BTDT when I had to do one and didn't have the cam tools.

You'll need to log in to post.
