You can still get the plans to build one. It seems it was never sold as a kit just a Popular Mechanics set of plans for DIY. Tempting.

The bow is wrong, but that is a hull section of a Type VII U-boat. I'm guessing a movie prop of some sort. The limber holes and the saddle tanks are the exact pattern of a Type VII.
