While parked at work today my new mazda2 got hit and pushed about 20' by a semi backing up into one of our docks.
The poopy part is I had it in first gear with the parking brake on. It was a real slow push since the semi was backing into a dock.
The body damage isn't that bad, well not as bad as it could have been.
So my question. If the car was pushed while in 1st gear and parking brake on is the transmission berkeleyed? Another truck driver that saw it happen said he saw all four wheels rolling.
drive it and see what it does. The brake was probably slipping and the motor turning over.

Are you sure he saw four of four rolling? It's possible that the parking brake is strong enough to hold the car while stationary, but not strong enough to hold if the car was pushed (or driven) with the brake on. Also, with an open diff, when in gear and pushed, if the engine doesn't turn, the wheels could turn in opposite directions. So, it's possible he only saw three wheels and the other front wheel was turn backward.
If the drive wheels were actually both turning in the same direction, the engine would have been turning. If it was going forward, I think you'd be OK. That's basically what happens during a bump start. If it was going backward and both wheels were turning while in 1st, the engine would be turning backward. I don't know what happens to a modern car of you do that, my gut says nothing happens assuming there's no one-way clutch type thing. My cars are old (MGs) and they'd be OK if turned backward as long as the overdrive is off (MGB ODs have a one-way clutch).

I got nuthin to add, except MAN, THAT SUCKS DONKEY NUGGETS.
The car was pushed forward so that may be a good thing or at least not as bad. The way it was parked it would have been tuff for the witness to see all four wheels. Possible but tuff. He might have only seen the passenger front and rear.
The car is a 2013 Mazda 2 if that matters.

I wouldn't worry about it, pushing it on the correct direction for the gear it was in will just turn the motor over a bit, like if you were to push/pull start it. The worst thing that I think would realisticallyhappen aside from the body damage is flat spotting of the tires if any of them dragged.
There is no possibility of damaging a manual transmission. An automatic could break the parking pawl.
If it was pushed backwards in a forward gear I suppose it could screw up the cam drive.
If it were pushed backwards while in 1st gear, it could have moved the slack in the timing belt/chain the the wrong side of the belt/chain and possibly slipped a tooth on the cam/crank sprocket or caused valve-to-piston interference. Though, I think either is unlikely.
If it was pushed forwards, there's really nothing bad that would happen to the engine or transmission.
Get a new one! Not your fault, clear perpetrater of the offense. I say don't even sweat the problems that could come up later. Just have his insurance write you a check or offer to make it more expensive for them.
I just want my car fixed. I don't want a new one. The body shop I'm using is right behind a Mazda dealer so I'm having the shop have Mazda inspect the brakes and drivetrain. Hopefully there's no damage to the brakes and drivetrains.
I'll say +1 for what Sonic and Gearheadotaku said. The powertrain and brakes are the least of your problems right now.
If it was pushed backwards in forward gear, spinning the engine backwards, that would be another story.
Since it's an open diff, couldn't one wheel be moving while the other is stopped?
