I think nothing of it, because literally zero buyers of this crossover will take it on track. One of my relatives went from a GX470 to a RX350 "F-sport". Now they just complain about the ride quality compared to their old SUV. This trim level just exists to one-up the Joneses.
In reply to David S. Wallens : For a LOT of people, the few times they run, a specially modified boot works pretty well. The other 360 days a year, they need a boot.
For the "get a real car" crowd... I have run laps at tracks like Road Atlanta and Barber in everything from a track prepped 944, Spec E36 and Panoz GTS to a 13B powered Spitfire, a bone stock Audi A6 Quattro, a Chrysler Pacifica and my F350 Dually Powerstroke. It's about getting laps and not everyone can daily a proper sports car or own a track car.
