a rusty and crusty 84 Caprice with a sweet red velvet interior
found it on a Facebook for sale page for $300... since i don't have $300 to spend on stuff like this right now, i offered to trade Kronos: the Saturn of Doom (99 SL1 with 240,000 miles on it) even up and the guy said ok.. i did it mostly to screw with my cousin that wanted to buy it to make it into a Demo car, but i kind of fell in love with it on the 60 mile drive home.. i haven't had one of these for a decade and i forgot how nice they drive.
the best part of the whole deal was in the trunk: i found the set of headers that i was going to start searching for to unclusterberkeley the girlfriend's 64 C10 stepside that had passenger car headers in it. they are used, but they are what i needed and they will clean up nicely.. so not only did i get a new crusty cruiser, but i also got the headers i needed to do the truck right which freed up a set of headers to put in the Caprice to let the mighty LG4 305 breathe.. i have a set of Monte SS wheels with snow tires that will go on it when the time comes..
