The gearbox of a 981 Porsche Cayman is deemed a non-serviceable part, and the dealer said it would cost $15,000–the same amount we paid for the car–to replace.

I drove the car to and from our test track, The FIRM, which is about 1.5 hours each way and the car is really good. I have an alert setup on FB marketplace for broken Caymans in hope I can find one too.

There is one of these at a buy here pay here lot down the street from my office. If Cayennes are any indicator they should be super cheap soon.
