Does that mean yes to Peugeot 505?
Congratulations. It's an 85 Audi quattro Coupe.
100K, dead original and un-modified rally icon. I grew up watching these things fly through the forest in England and now I finally have one. YAY.
You guys are truly amazing to figure that out, or seriously sick. Well done.
Has MI plates.... I think I actually saw that one in the UP a few years ago when I was there for pro rally....
And as it turns out, I did. Amazing that a guy from 3 states away sees the car, takes some pics of it, only to run into the guy that bought it from the guy that owned it when I took pictures of it on a forum. Also, it looked friggin sweet in person.
That guy was with him and the other one with the "Dakar" kit on the roof all weekend.
I think I have a couple more, somewhere.

Someone said e30 then someone said VAG.
What I focused in on was the rain rails. Once the Audi 5000/100 came out there was not much left with exposed rain rails.
I looked at the pictures properties and that led me to your rally inspired website.
The lack of chrome around the window ruled out most domestics. As you may remeber, blacking out chrome in the '80-90's was know as "the euro look".
My clues were:
Older than 1990-ish to have exposed rain rails.
Maybe VAG
Rally inspired
The most GRM answer was 4000Q and the pictures matched up.
The more expensive answer was UR-Quattro and had the new clue of 5 lug.
Box flares for the win!
There was one locally that had 58k original owner asking iirc $5500 a couple months ago. I almost went to the bank to see about getting a loan. Damn being broke.

Yes, that's the one. The guy I bought it from has a couple one of which might be for sale. His buddy has a Group B replica with something like 400hp. They are always at LSPR and Sno*Drift as well as many other events and shows. They both belong to the Group B Rally Club as do I now. :)
I never got a chance to meet the guys, but I was hideously jealous of the awesome contained in said vehicles. And yeah, this was at LSPR 2009.
I have a friend who's got an Ur Quattro; if you need parts, he knows of an Audi magician out in Washington who's said to have a stash, and has apparently forgotten more about these cars than most will ever know. Send me a PM if you want some mo' info.
You'll need to log in to post.
