Canopy is no guarantee, Gidley in the Red Dragon at the Rolex? Pocono is a wicked bitch.
Tom, I can provide confirmation to the report. family was given the chance to see him and say goodbye. Godspeed friend, the world is a darker place without you.
In reply to Tom Suddard:
Just saw it on ESPN.
Truly horrific incident. I haven't watched much Indy car this year, but just happened to be watching yesterday when it occurred. I was just confused at first as to why he had crashed, in both the live shot and instant replay. Horrible, horrible feeling when I realized what actually happened. Thoughts go out to his family.
I have no words for the brave souls who risk it all and sometimes pay the ultimate price so that we can be entertained on Sundays. Rest in peace, Justin. You will not be forgotten.
That sucks is the understatement of the moment. He was fun to watch and seemed like a great guy in interviews. I haz sad.
He leaves behind two daughters, age 7 and 5. Someday I hope they know how much we hurt for them. Not that it will likely matter.
Margie
Prayers to his daughters and family.
The kids part is what is the real kick in the gut for me. I hope they are taken care of somehow. There father as part of indycar brought so much joy into my life as my son and I have watched many an indycar race together. And for them to loose there dad while providing my son and I some great dad son time really hurts some how.
I never met the man but from all accounts he was one of the really good people in racing.
Gods speed.

no doubt
what a great guy
Some of racing's elite on a world wide scale are quoted. I had no idea just how great a man he really was. As Marjorie said I hope his kids some day realize just what a great man and respected man he really was.
