I'm leaving Minnesota in a few minutes for Overland Park, Kansas. I'll be going down I-35 through Des Moines, St. Joseph and Kansas City.
Does anyone know of any car lots or shops with cool old European cars for sale along this route? My dream cartoon-bubble find would be a presentable Mercedes-Benz W126, W123 or W124 for under $3500.
But I'm also interested in classic Saab 900, Audi, BMW, Volvo or VW.

Saab and random awesomeness: George's Imports (Map) I had my Lancia worked on there. While doing that, I've seen 1950s Astons, 60s era Bentleys, and old V12 Ferraris there.
Fiat, Alfa, Porsche, Volvo, Lotus, etc.: Carriage and Motor Works (Map) I used to get my Fiat Spider worked on there when I was in high school. I work about a mile down the Boulevard from it now. There was a 1920s or 1930s Studebaker Indy car that they restored and used to maintain. They still might, but I don't see it these days.
MB and a bit of BMW: Hafkemeyer Motors (Map) This is a cool shop in my hood that I enjoy driving by.
Mostly Volvo: Kansas City Autosport (Map) Never been, ymmv.
VW, air and water cooled: Vee Village (Map) A friend of mine wasn't impressed with their service on her Cabrio, but they might be very different on the sales side and may have other German stuff.
There are probably other good places, but these are the ones I know.
