Really? Somehow I find that dubious. I'll bet that less than 5% (probably less) of us could perform more than one or two of those stunts accurately enough to be filmed.

Did you notice most of those shots weren't panned? That means he had to perform them in exactly the right spot for the camera to capture it, and probably several times to get the framing right.

But then again I'm just a fanboi...

I did notice on this vid I finally looks like he got some of the shots on the first take - one in particular when he powerslides around & in between the 2-smaller hangars/sheds. There's no tire marks on the tarmac before, but nice black ones after he goes around it!

I don't know, I guess all the fanobois.....I see that hard to believe, if they said ok drive this purpose built, you didn't have to do anything just drive Scoob, you couldn't just wrench the wheel in an open area and start powersliding and doing a donuts?

I think it's cool, no doubt but I don't see all the hype about him is for.....he was making shoes and snowboarding a little a couple years ago and all of a sudden he's this rally phenom and he thinks that all of a sudden his career is full on rally driver.

The hype is that he puts out cool, well filmed videos. If Sebastian Loeb did the same thing, he'd have just as many fanbois outside the hardcore rally freaks.

Ahhh, true.

The thing I don't get is why people think that this is the greatest thing with rally ever....

Because 90% of the American public didn't know anything about rally till the X-games, and this is a good way to showcase the sport. I see nothing wrong with someone making cool videos, and devoting themselves to their passion. He made his money with his own blood sweat and tears. He was never handed anything, so kudos to him for enjoying life. He doesn't EVER look bored, he seems genuinely stoked to be lucky to be doing what he's doing.

In reply to wherethefmi: ahhh the very sad truth, 95% Americans don't know rally. That's true though, never really thought about that. He definetly seems that. I love the X games, can't wait!

Well I love rally and think those drivers are probably some of the best in the world but I also think Ken Block has got quite a bit of talent. I think there is room for both.
