Ladies and Gents:
It is very possible that I will be taking a look at THIS within the next 96 hours and I have no idea what to look for, or if this even appears to be a decent candidate in your discerning Celica-enthusiast eyes. Is this price too steep (remember, for some reason, we pay a bit of a premium for good cars here in the Pac Northwest)?
Thanks in advance.
That's a VERY good price.
Miles aren't outrageous, car is extremely clean inside and out, and 93s pull a HUGE premium.
That thing should move out pretty well, too. Those BNR upgrades do pretty well.
Aussie exhaust parts are VERY expensive, he spent the money.
Car should be dipping into the 13s (depending on boost level) if that's something you care about. At least with that knowledge you've got something to calibrate your butt dyno by.
I don't even know if you're going to buy it yet or not, and i'm already jealous.
I know nothing about Celicas, but I do know that that thing is SICK!!!
It immediately needs JDM corner lights, a Carlos Sainz bumper, and a huge FMIC.
This is all very encouraging AND it comes from the source I was hoping to attract to this thread... Thanks HalfTrac.
What trouble spots should I keep any eye out for?

I've never liked that body style. I always thought they looked like something Darth Vader would drive, but I like that one.
Just standard rust and leaks checks. Suspension clunks. Pay extra attention to the sway bar mounting brackets and rocker panels.
When you drive it, watch out for hesitations or strange spool up behavior.
The AFMs in these cars can be real finicky pieces of E36 M3. (Research on how to swap to "gen3" electronics. It's ENTIRELY worth the money, especially with an upgraded turbo like this)
Clutch jobs are not real fun, they involve pulling the entire motor, so unless you've got some plans to mess with this thing further make sure the clutch is strong. If it's not, use it as a bargaining tool.

I have a love/hate relationship with them. They can either look extremely feminine, or they look evil as all hell.
PS: This one traps over 210mph in the standing mile.
Cool, thanks. I'm just waiting to hear back from the owner for a good time to see it. I hate when people don't put their phone number on CL ads...
So jealous right now.
and the one in the pics above is one of the cars that made me become more obsessed with gt4's
While you're up there... might want some of these things?

first time I've seen the ad. that all trac looks freaken awesome.
great deal!
Well, I went and saw it today and drove it. It drove well and felt tight. However, there is a pretty significant amount of rust along the passenger rocker panel with one hole about the size of a quarter. The rest of the underside had some signs of rust as well and the owner told me that the entire left rear quarter panel was replaced because of rust. So, I'm not sure that I can justify $8K on it, but it isn't a bad car.

If it already had that rust coming through that soon after a professional body job, run away. That thing unfortunately is done for. I wouldn't pay more than 5k in that case. Bummer.
That really is too bad, that gen is my favorite Celica body wise.
