KOed the engine in my 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT. 2.0 GDI 6mt. Have looked for a decent reference of what may fit from other models/ brand. Have heard that Soul optional 2.0 and some 2.0 hybrid applications may fit. Nothing that confirms anything. Would even consider a smaller displacement if it bolts in and the ECM would function in my car. Price is a concern with the age of the car. I most likely over paid for it anyway. Appreciate your input.

You have a 2.0 Nu engine. This should give you a compatible list of vehicles to source one from. The gdi Nu has a recall for being explodey so my first call would be to Hyundai.

www.car-part.com can be used to find other compatible vehicles. It uses the Hollander cross reference database. So if you put in your car and then search, scroll through the vehicle descriptions in the left columns and you'll find other ones that use the same engine.

If it helps, the Nu bolt pattern is different than the gamma and Theta, starter is in a different place IIRC. The ONLY GDI Nu was the 2.0, so while thw 1.8 will bolt up, it is an MPFI and will require a different fuel system and engine management.
