Condenser, cap, rotor, and plug wires installed. Points adjusted to .016. Turned the idle mixture screw in all the way and backed it out two turns (I had been messing with it recently and lost my baseline).

Strong improvement in warm-up and idle but I did not get to drive it (this was all done while my wife put the kid to bed). I'll let you know how it goes.

I dropped a screwdriver down the #1 hole and turned the engine by hand (I found I can turn the engine by turning the fan when setting the point gap). I don't see any reason to think the balancer spun. If it did, it didn't do it by much.

I plan to put a vac gauge on it when I get a chance, and I'll check the dwell timing when that gets here. I also did not re-verify the timing. My good multimeter is out on loan, when it gets here I'll re-check my coil. I couldn't get a good reading with my POS harbor freight free-coupon special.

Have I told you guys how great it is being back in the states? I can't tell you the sheer logistical effort that would be required of me if I were trying to do this back in Hungary. The only thing I could find for the car out there was spark plugs, oil, oil filters, and gasoline (and not always at the same time)...

Well, as the great poet warrior Ice-Cube once said: Any day that does not require the use of an AK is "good"

Good times.
