"Latest Topics" question

I generally use the "Latest Topics" button every time that I check into the forum but I just noticed that it doesn't include cross posts made to CMS. Is that by design or an oversight?

It's an intermittent problem that I've put on the list to fix before, and then the web guys aren't able to recreate it. Thanks for flagging it--we'll take another shot.

edit: Darn it, now the Classic posts are back on Latest Active Topics. Ugh.

I can see Classic Motorsports posts in the "Latest Topics," too. But like Margie said, this has come up in the recent past and we couldn't recreate it.

So Woody, If you go to the "Latest Topics" page, you can't see the "Tetanus shot Honda 600. Build thread?" about half way down?

I've noticed this in the past as well, but I thought it was only certain threads that were in stealth mode and not all CMS threads.

I just created a test topic and it shows up on my latest posts. Hmmm. I guess it may be an intermittent issue. I know the last thread I posted on CMS side wouldn't show up on the latest topics.

EDIT: It's not thread related. I made a new post in my old thread. That one would not show up in the latest topics when it was new, but now it does.

It's a strange issue indeed. The next time someone experiences this, if they could screenshot the topic visible in the Classic forum and also screenshot it missing from "Latest Topics" and send them to me, that would be great. Then I can get with our web developers with an example.

Ding ding ding ding! I think I've got it. The post count in the Classic forum preview has always been a little wonky--I think it's related to that. Ed is testing my theory right now. Thanks!!

Sounds like it has to do with whether or not the last_modified date is getting updated. But I have no idea what the board code looks like these days, so I could be way off base there.

...then I posted something there.

Later, I clicked "Latest Topics" from the GRM forum and noticed that the thread was nowhere to be found. When I signed in to CMS, it was second or third from the top.
