I love 80s and 90s Toyotas, but have been itching to try something a little older.  The 70s Corollas appeal to me, and this one is pretty local: https://reading.craigslist.org/cto/d/1978-toyota-corolla-sr5/6436210309.html

What I know about them: they're light, low powered, have pretty old school suspension (steering box, rear leaf springs), and rust very easily.  What else do I need to know?

4age swaps are awesome. 3tc swaps are the Puerto Rican small block of the yota drag world. And 1uz swaps make everything more fun. https://youtu.be/IJMAy7Z6zys

most ae86 suspension parts will swap over. You can narrow a ford 8.8 for a low buck, strong axle with cheap lsd. Or for a bit more, do the same thing with a yota truck or previa van 8” (not worth it).
