I want a newer one (01+ 3rd Gen?) because they can cruise highway far better than the older ones. The newer ones are also much more expensive than a similar mileage V8 Explorer.

Why is this? I know plenty of people who rent trailers with Subarus and XJ and I'd think they'd tow less.
