Rust bucket with manual transmission. What engine will it have?
It will have the 6. So it will not be a 750, rather a 735. (The other easy thing to see is the kidneys are wider on the 750).
Unless someone swapped in a trans from a 8 series, which is possible I guess.

The badge is clearly 750. Could that be a V12?
I'd think a badge swap is the most likely answer.
That said, I'd love a straight piped manual V12 750
Factory V12 manuals were never built outside of the early 850i and later 850CSi. But because of those cars, the transmissions do exist and a handful of 7 series V12 / 6spd swaps have been done.

This is my understanding as well.
Unfortunately, other than cachet, the BMW v12 doesn't have much going for it from a sports car perspective. In my opinion.
750il never came with a manual. The only v12 BMW with factory manual transmission was from the 8series. Maybe someone did a swap. I'm assuming it's an e32?

I have no idea. I go by it several times a day. It never moves. I wouldn't know on BMW's. I'm guessing 1980's 1990's? But could be off by a decade.
I looked it up. I know I should have done that before I asked.
1993-2001 346 hp V12. About same size weight and power as the Jaguar XJ12.
You are right, it was never built with a manual. So obviously a swap.
Any pictures of the car, someone put some effort into that conversion. E38's were not offered with a manual with any engine in the us, only the small v8 in Europe. The v12 manual is very rare & expensive. They can be a very good looking car though.
