Incorrect. They have an Outside and an Inside label on the sidewall. They can be run on either side of the car. I had them on my old Miata and could rotate. Directional tires cannot be rotated side to side without flipping on the rim.

That said, this thread is relevant to my interests as my RX-8 (with 225/40 19's) will need tires this fall as well. I LOVED the RE-11's on the Miata for track duty and they were excellent on the street, even in the rain. However, I'd like to avoid spending $300/tire.

Oooohhhh CG being mister big $$$ and running the R3

With any luck ill be meeting up with someone this weekend to get a set of OE S1 (04-08) rims that i will use at track days.

At this very moment (at least according to tire rack) the R1R's are cheapest in 245/40, now i do not believe this will have an adverse effect over all, but due to the price and availability they are winning in my mind at the moment...

Granted this could change by the end of next week.
