Last fall I put H&R Triple C camber bolts on my Volvo S60R in place of the upper steering knuckle bolt as per the directions. However, the steering knuckle had limited adjustability because the steering knuckle would hit the strut. In fact, I only got -1degree. Has anybody successfully used two camber bolts per side?
Yep. Rallycrossed it that way for two years. Never an issue.
Most camber bolts kits that I have seen are smaller in diameter with a offset cam to allow the movement that allows adjustment of camber. Smaller diameter in my mind means weaker. I prefer to slot the strut mount holes on the strut and keep the stock size bolts. Using new and if available stronger bolts I tighten then to +30-50% of the factory spec. I have never had an issue with them getting loose or failing.
I slot the struts and tack weld washers in place to hold alignment, use factory or better bolts.
Some say spray paint will also lock the joint.

FWIW, I used Progress camber bolts which have nice serrations in the washers. It took lots of effort to remove the washers when I changed struts.
It may also have helped that I went for max adjustment so IN the event that the strut would try to slip from side forces, it wouldn't be able to rotate the cam. Maybe. I do recall that I found that the lower bolt on each side was little more than finger-tight but there was zero evidence of slippage.
So, YMMV. I can see cheap crappy camber bolts giving issues.
