Not to say privateers from those marques won't be running on their own with some back-door support from the manufacturers. Its happened before with other series, so the precedent has been set.

I miss the original NATCC with production based cars, etc. but in the long run, anything that gets more professional road racing in the US is a good thing, IMO.
