I've never watched this before, the quality of the cars is top notch though.

I was lucky to go a few years ago. Hands down one of the coolest events ever--it not at the top of the list.

No, it was explained that there is no video overnight from the event (as in the camera crews leave), so what's there is what's available, unless some team is streaming in-car.

Ahhh , I wished they stayed another 30 minutes as the 917s were lining up to start their class

The 24H series is running at Portimao right now.  It’s on their YouTube page.

Just like it was done back in the day. It was cool seeing MGBs and Cobras out there together.

Each class will race 4 times over the course of the 24 hours, and each one will do a Le Mans start at some point.

I was there in 2012. It's something else, vintage racing is a very different deal in Europe. We saw the Aston (you know, THE Aston DB3 that won Le Mans with some chicken farmer on the team) collide with a Lotus Eleven on the Le Mans start. It's great seeing the old warhorses blasting around at top speed, but the fact that they're only doing a one-hour stint does take a bit of the edge off.

It's also one of the largest classic car meets in Europe, so the parking lot is something to behold. Fields of Alpines and everything else you could imagine.

It was pretty damn spectacular to watch, in some ways more visually interesting than the modern race (I was there for it in 2005). My GF and I are already planning to go in 2020.
