The deadline for the Carolina lemons race is this week, which caught me a little off guard. There's got to be at least a couple of Georgia/Atlanta teams competing. I'm looking for a semi-local team who's got an opening for an extra member. Any takers?

You may want to make a post on www.soloatlanta.com. It's primarily autocrossers, but there has been some interest across the populace regarding Lemons. It might be worth a shot.

Why does it need to be a local team to you? Not trying to be smart, just curious because one of our cars may need a driver but we're from Philly.
My thought was that any team looking for help would be looking for fab/prep help as much as pit/driving manpower. That and my wheel to wheel experience is nill - to date I've been limited to DE and auto-x events - so I'm not a particularly valuable asset in the driving department. That said, I'm certainly open to helping out wherever needed.

With 10 weeks left to the race, I would hope that most teams would be putting the finishing touches on their cars about now. I know that we are. And there may be plenty of cars that are being refielded that don't need complete rebuilds, just a weekend with sledgehammers and a cutting torch. Then you just need to bring your bad self and a check to the race. And don't be surprised at the size of the check you have to bring - you will be putting in a $1000 cage and paying a $1300 entry fee for that $500 POS. Right off the bat, that's about $600 for 5 drivers.
