We had a hell of a time at Magnum Opus rally, as detailed in page 20 of my build thread and I just did a compression test on our 13b rotary.

Guess the compression of the front and rear rotors! Format like so:
F:xxx psi
R:xxx psi

Closest guess wins, I will reveal the actual numbers tomorrow at some point. Your only hints are that the car ran an entire rally and drove onto the trailer, but was very unhappy about it.

I'll guess an even compression loss due to the heat/coolant loss:

Awesome story and congrats on the engagement!

I don't know E36 M3 about doritos either.

I'll reveal the answer around noon today, but for now I'll say that someone has guessed the value for one of the two rotors, but nobody has gotten the other yet.

in a row!?!?!?!?!?, well if you didn't define the question very well did you...

(I wanted to give a hit for those that didn't know)

I am gonna go 33 and 29

42 is from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I have no idea where 37 is from.

If you're only getting a single reading per rotor then it's not technically correct.

Should be something like 30, 40, 60 F and 40, 40, 35 R.

Mazda's rotary tester keeps track of each rotor face and gives a value for each one individually.

Depending on if one face is low or all are low per rotor can help determine what has failed.

In reply to flatlander937:

I'm going with the highest from each, should have specified. All 3 faces on each are nearly the same though, if that helps anyone.

On a side note, how did the plugs look? I wondered if I mixed the gas too rich or not...
